SKK GSB at Sungkyunkwan University recently invited accomplished speaker Sam Lee, Regulatory Affairs Mgr. for AN & ANZ from the Hershey Company to help Full-Time MBA students understand how to navigate their careers in Korea.

Students came face to face with an expert who works at the Hershey Company, also serving as a global talent development advisor and providing career coaching. They learned about the Korean job market and how to prepare Korean-style application documents, building essential skills for employment.

In particular, the speaker emphasized that in the Korean job market, job-related experience and skills are more important than qualifications, such as school and grades.

Quentin Tigé, Full-Time MBA student, commented on the special lecture "Sam Lee offered students valuable insights into the possibilities of pivoting our careers in Korea after graduation. Sam backed his points with real data, which provided a much-needed reality check on both the opportunities and challenges that foreigners face when starting a career in Korea."

성균관대학교 SKK GSB는 최근 허쉬 회사의 식품법규부 이사인 Sam Lee를 초청해 Ful-Time MBA 학생들이 한국에서 커리어를 어떻게 설계해 나갈 수 있는지에 대해 강연을 제공했습니다.

학생들은 허쉬에 재직 중이며, 글로벌 인재 개발 자문가이자 커리어 코치로도 활동하는 전문가를 직접 만날 수 있었죠.  

이 강연을 통해 학생들은 한국 취업 시장에 대한 이해를 넓히고 한국식 입사지원서 작성법과 필수 역량에 대해 배울 수 있었습니다.

특히 Sam Lee 연사는 한국 취업 시장에서는 학벌이나 성적보다는 직무와 관련된 경험과 실무 역량이 더 중요하다는 점을 강조했습니다.

Full-Time MBA 학생인 Quentin Tigé는 이번 특별 강연에 대해 "Sam Lee는 졸업 후 한국에서 경력을 전환할 수 가능성에 대해 기중한 통찰을 제공했습니다. 실제 데이터를 바탕으로 설명해 주셔서, 외국인이 한국에서 커리어를 시작할 때 직면하는 기회와 도전에 대한 현실적인 시각을 얻을 수 있었습니다"라고 소감을 전했습니다.
