Sungkyunkwan University SKK GSB Full-Time MBA students show high satisfaction with Business Analytics Track
Sungkyunkwan University’s SKK Graduate School of Business (SKK GSB) was ranked 35th in the world, 1st in Korea, and 7th in Asia in the 2021 Financial Times (FT) Global MBA Ranking. The rankings highlight further remarkable achievements, such as ranking 13th in the world for promotion, and 16th for value for money. All of these factors have contributed towards the glory of ranking first in Korea for 10 consecutive years.
SKK GSB has recently put a lot of effort into fostering the kind of digital talent needed in the present era. They provide future vision to the students who will be the human resources in the 4th Industrial Revolution. In 2020, the school launched a new AI MBA and a Business Analytics program, and this year, they launched the Business Analytics Track in the Full-time MBA.
Irene So from Hong Kong (Full-Time MBA, 2022) expressed her interest in the Business Analytics Track, saying “Big data, business analytics, programming, etc. were terms I had always heard before coming to SKK GSB, and I could not believe that I actually had the chance to learn all these along my MBA journey. Although it has been challenging, I am so proud to be in the first FMBA cohort [JPB1] able to choose the Business Analytics Track as the main focus. With an aim to shift my career focus from banking to the digital field, I believe that the technical skills as well as the business strategic mindset we have learnt from courses like Marketing Analytics, AI and Machine Learning, Programming, etc. will open new doors for me to enter a new career field with cutting edge tech.”
This year's freshman Esther Kwon (Full-Time MBA, 2023) also showed her enthusiasm about the track. "I am currently operating an online shopping mall and hope to analyze consumer data more effectively by applying the skills acquired from the Business Analytics Track."
SKK GSB provides courses such as AI and Machine Learning, Digital Age Corporate Strategy, Digital and Social Media Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Visualization, Digital Marketing, Financial Analytics, and Business Analytics.
