Vice Dean Eric Chuan-Fong Shih introduces “state-of-the-art management techniques to identify markets, develop new product ideas, measure customer benefits, design profitable new products, and forecast the initial demand and ultimate penetration of new products” in the Developing Innovation course this module period.
In line with SKK GSB’s goal of “advancing business knowledge in a multicultural learning environment”, this course is offered to both regular Full-Time MBA students and EDHEC exchange students. Professor Shih, whose primary interests are on technological innovations and marketing, leads discussions on strategic issues where marketing overlaps with other business functions such as R&D, design engineering and manufacturing.
New products and services are thought to be exciting breakthrough ideas that shape industries. In the same vein, this course appeals to students as one of the most exciting subjects which may shape their future careers particularly in brand or product management.
