Kyoung-ho, Park, EMBA'21 / World Bank MIGA
―Please introduce yourself
▷ I am a current Indiana Kelley-SKK GSB Executive MBA student and I am working at World Bank Group's International Investment Assurance Organization (MIGA) Korea office where it provides private investors with government assurance programs in developing countries, while analyzing potential business and assessing risks to help ensure successful investments.
―Why did you decide to go to MBA
▷ Prior to entering the MBA program, I was in charge of overseas private investment projects of domestic construction companies and took charge of PPP (Public Private Partnership) projects. As I was mainly in developing countries, I came to think that I would like to contribute to the public domain by foreign companies and international organizations abroad.
―How did you know Indiana Kelley―SKK GSB EMBA and why did you choose it?
▷ It is not only for the dual degree program at Indiana University in the United States that can achieve double MBA degree on a global basis. Especially the prominence of SKK GSB faculty is one of the main reason. Indiana University's Kelley School faculty also visited to Korea and taught in the classroom. Since the classes are held on Friday evenings and Saturdays, I can spend my time with my child while going overseas business trips on weekdays.
―What is the biggest change?
▷ It is not too much to say that Indiana Kelley—SKK GSB EMBA changed my whole life. It has opened the way for life-goal challenge that I have dreamed of. Above all, I came to be more confident by learning how to speak in front of people, and organizational management and leadership on how to show my true value in people. Finally, I felt that I am a person who can show value anywhere.
―Any advice for prospective applicants.
▷ MBA is not just to receive management knowledge. It is a place to create amazing experiential value by organically combining the experiences and insights of the motives that are performing with excellent management classes and outstanding skills. In addition, tuition is quiet expensive but it can be much lower than I expected. Anyone can use the Korea Scholarship Foundation's student loan and SKK GSB also provide a various scholarship and financial aids so I would like to say that you must take an advantage of it.
