Fall 2020 Application
FMBA Student
Testimonials
by Whitley Pannel, FMBA+JD’23
I first learned about SungKyunKwan University SKK GSB from Mark Need, a business and law professor at Indiana University. Professor Need is the advisor and liaison between the two schools. He held a few meetings explaining the program, stayed in communication with students who expressed interest in the program, and encouraged us to apply during our spring semester.
The application took a few hours to complete. I had to provide information about myself and my educational background. I had to send a few documents from my undergraduate university and law school. I also had to answer a few questions about why I wanted to attend SKK GSB and what I wanted to get out of my experience in the program. A few weeks after completing the application, I was invited for a video interview with a faculty member. Although nervous in the beginning, the interview went smoothly. I had to answer a series of questions and I also had an opportunity to ask questions about classes, the academic schedule, and life in Korea.
I did not experience any major problems when applying from the United States. I stayed in constant communication with the school throughout the entire application process and also after I was admitted into SKK GSB. Despite the time difference, the admissions office always answered my questions and emails in a timely manner. Also, I didn’t experience any issues with sending documents from my undergrad university and my law school. I truly encourage all students from different countries to apply to SKK GSB. You can learn more about the program and application process on our website. You can also feel free to reach out to the admissions office and they will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
