We provide guidelines for additional documents required for admitted students in the 2024 academic year. These documents may require some preparation, so we are informing you in advance.
1. For Applicants with Overseas Education
1) Eligibility: Those who have obtained a degree from an overseas university or have completed an exchange student program.
2) Submission Deadline: July 30, 2024
3) Required Documents: For the specified academic qualifications, you must submit an Apostille (for countries under the Hague Apostille Convention) or an embassy certification (for non-Hague Convention countries) from the country where the educational institution is located.
4) Required documents include: Graduation certificate (or degree certificate) & Transcript
*Please Note:
- Apostille and embassy certifications are mandatory documents for new students with overseas qualifications recognized by the Ministry of Education in South Korea. Please submit these documents to avoid admission cancellation (a common practice among major domestic graduate programs).
- Documents must be in the original Korean or English. If submitting a translated copy, it should be notarized and accompanied by the Apostille or embassy certification.
- Apostille and embassy certifications should be obtained from the country where the university is located (or from the South Korean embassy in that country).
- For transfer or exchange student programs, the original transcript with course grades is required for Apostille or embassy certification. However, the original transcript is acceptable if obtaining Apostille or embassy certification is not possible for overseas exchange student programs.
- For E-Apostille, email submission is acceptable.
Additional Resources and Institution Details for Apostille:
- There are numerous agencies that offer Apostille services for overseas documents. You can search for them for reference.
