The Korean retirement plan market is increasingly questioning its underlying structure, rather than focusing solely on individual products, and discussion is now turning to how the entire system should be redesigned.
A fund-type retirement pension system, where assets are pooled and managed collectively, would not simply be a new framework: it would potentially represent a structural transition that could fundamentally reshape corporate pension governance, redefining the role of financial institutions and transforming individuals’ investment experience.
SKK GSB and Korea Retirement Pension Data will co-host a forum to examine detailed scenarios for the possible implementation of a fund-type retirement pension system in Korea.
