Indiana Kelley-SKK GSB Executive MBA Class of 2026: Immersion 2 in Washington, D.C.

Due to the Trump administration's tariff policies, as economic uncertainty deepens, it has become more important than ever for corporations to develop a strategic response to global trade.

Amid this situation, students of the Kelley-SKK GSB Executive MBA at SKK GSB, Sungkyunkwan University, gained deeper insights through the second Immersion program in Washington, D.C., into politics, the economy, and business in this environment.

Amid growing uncertainty in global trade, this program offered valuable lectures by globally renowned experts who had participated in policy decision-making.

Wendy Cutler, Vice President at the Asia Society Policy Institute and former negotiator of the South Korea-U.S. FTA, attracted considerable attention with her lecture. She provided a special lecture on "The Changing Dynamics of US-China Relations, Trade, and Global Supply Chains", shared deeper insights and addressed the key issue of the changing global business environment.

In addition, Tami Overby, the former vice president, Asia, U.S. Chamber of Commerce and President, U.S.-Korea Business Council, delivered a lecture titled "The Dynamics of U.S.-Korea and U.S.-Asia Business and Economic Relations," through which students developed a profound understanding.

Every lecture provided as listed below offered essential knowledge and a strategic perspective to EMBA students who are leaders of their respective companies.

· U.S. Politics and Government: National Trends and Global Implications

· Fiscal Policy, Monetary Policy, The Economy and Capital Markets

Additionally, they visited the World Bank and the Korea Economic Institute of America (KEI) to interact with experts on "The Business of Diplomacy: The Past, Present, and Future of U.S., Korea, and Global Political Relations."

Hohyeuk Im, EMBA student who participated in this program, shared, "The Immersion 2 at Washington Campus offered a rare opportunity to rethink what it means to lead strategically in a complex global landscape. The program expanded my view to include how political currents and policy shifts shape the playing field. A timely reminder that strategy today requires fluency in both economics and governance."
