SKK GSB Dean Eric Shih welcomed the alumni to campus for the first time in a long time and wished WiL to continue to grow as the center of the SKK GSB women's network and a strong alumni community on Nov. 29th.
The regular meeting of the Executive MBA women alumni and student community ‘Women in Leadership (WiL)’, was a meaningful opportunity for members to get to know the organization and each other better through introductions of President Jungwan Shin, Class of 2019, and Vice President Jung hee Yoon, Class of 2018, of the WiL Committee. They have also introduced Activity Groups, which include Art Salon (Art Investment), Global Learning, Walking Together, and Love Planet (Service), etc. In the "What is WiL to Me?" part of the meeting, many members expressed that WiL is a valuable community for women leaders to communicate, empathize, recognize, and heal each other.
Student Testimonies:
-Eunhee Ko (Executive MBA Class of 2018) says “Everyone perceives you as an executive, as a team leader, as a mom, and there's not a lot of people who validate those roles and say, "Good job, you’ve lived well, you're right," for the life you've lived. At WiL, we acknowledge how well each other has truly lived and can share and distribute that 'growth' with others. We empathize together, comfort each other, and within that, find healing for ourselves. That's why I find WiL, where I encounter another side of myself, truly wonderful."
-Jung Hee Yoon (Executive MBA Class of 2014) says “At my workplace, there weren't many opportunities to share my experiences and talk about my concerns like this, but at WiL, it's really comfortable because that's possible here. I hope this gathering becomes that kind of precious space."
-Jong Eun Lee (Executive MBA Class of 2021) claims "For me, WiL is 'another family,' and I would like this family to be a larger family!"
