SKK GSB introduced a new course 'Managing Business Functions' covering the four major functional areas in a firm (Strategy, Operations, Marketing, and Financial Management).
The course covers the four major functional areas in a firm. A firm exists to serve its customers’ needs and requirements. This need fulfillment is carried out by these four functional areas in an integrated way. This means that the decisions taken in each of these areas are geared towards fulfilling customers’ needs. It also means that any decision taken in any of these areas impact the performance of the other areas. For this reason, this course is divided into four modules, each dealing with one of the functional areas. At the same time, the course will emphasize the interconnections of these areas. At the end of each week, an integrated case will be used to understand how decisions in one area impact other areas.
